🏫Arrival and Dismissal Procedures 

⏰ School Hours 

  • 8:40 AM – School opens to students 

  • 8:40–9:05 AM – Breakfast available in the cafeteria 

  • 9:05 AM – Classes begin 

  • 11:30 AM – AM Kindergarten dismissal 

  • 12:43 PM – PM Kindergarten arrival 

  • 12:50 PM – PM Kindergarten classes begin 

  • 3:25 PM – Dismissal begins for car pick-up and bus riders 

🚫 No students will be called for dismissal between 3:00 – 3:25 PM. 

🚗 Morning Drop-Off 

The school opens at 8:40 AM, aligned with the first bus arrival. Do not drop off students before 8:40 AM – supervision is not available. 

Parents should use the main entrance: 

  1. Enter the Ehrman Schools campus. 

  1. Turn left at the top of the hill. 

  1. Proceed to the main entrance loop. 

  1. Adults will assist with drop-off at 8:40 AM. 

📲 Using the Parent Portal for Attendance & Dismissals 

Please use the Parent Portal for: 

  • Early dismissals 

  • End-of-day car pick-up 

  • Absence excuses 

How to Submit a Dismissal: 

  1. Go to Attendance in your child’s portal. 

  1. Under New Absence, select: 

  • Date 

  • Time 

  • Who will pick up your child 

  1. Submit by 2:45 PM to allow teachers time to review. 

After 2:45 PM, please call the office. 

🕒 Early Dismissals 

  • Must occur before 3:00 PM 

  • Enter the time in the portal and arrive before 3:00 PM 

  • Allow time for: 

  • Locating the class 

  • Gathering belongings 

  • Walking to the office 

  • Bring a valid ID and check in with the security guard at the elementary office 

  • Parents must park and enter the building

For the safety and efficiency of our pick-up process, please ensure that you remain in your designated lane while waiting for your child. This helps us manage traffic flow and ensures that all students can be picked up safely. 
 

We kindly ask that you do not enter the school campus before 3:00 PM for end-of-day car pick-up. Arriving earlier can cause congestion and disrupt the flow of our dismissal process. Your cooperation in this matter is crucial for maintaining a smooth and orderly pick-up routine. 

 

  • Enter 3:25 PM as the pick-up time in the portal 

  • No paper notes needed when using the portal 

  • Pick-up occurs in the front loop: 

  • Parents remain in cars 

  • Staff will escort students to vehicles 

  • Ensure your child knows and responds to their last name when called 

Dismissal Type Options in the Portal: 

  1. Early Dismissal – Select a time before 3:00 PM 

  1. End-of-Day Car Pick-Up – Follow building procedures 

  1. After-School Activity Pick-Up – For clubs or intramurals
